Hide-n-Seek!!

What a fun way to end our weekend with a little hide-n-seek!
It went a little like this.....I would hide first, then when it was Colin's turn he would hide in the exact same spot I just hid!! Oh my goodness did it crack us up!!
The one where he is by the toilet, was probably one of the funniest, b/c we knew he was hiding in the shower, so I went in quietly and got my hand in there and turned the water on!! HOLY MOLY did he move fast outta there, so fast he ended up on the ground as you can tell!!! hahahaa!! We died laughing!!

Daddy even tried helping him, but it was too funny he couldn't control his laughter so I'd instantly know where he was! I have to admit there were a couple of times I couldn't hold my giggles in either so I was easy to find! :) Too fun!!

I finally decided as you can tell to grab the camera when It was my turn to seek, I mean how can you resist snapping pics of this funny stuff! A couple times I had the camera with me when I was hiding to capture his look when seeking me out, as you can tell it was pretty darn hilarious! Gotta love these nights!

A SUPER SPECIAL DAY!

Today is just that a SUPER SPECIAL DAY, because today is my sister and best friends Birthday!! Happy Birthday Liss...You don't look a day over 21!!! :)
I have to take this time to share with everyone what a lucky person I am to have her in my life. She is SO AMAZING and I am truly blessed to have her in my life.. She has always been there for me and I hope that I have returned that favor at least a few times! We have always been pretty close, I mean there were those times that we fought over clothes, or I was told to "Be the wall" after begging her to let me sleep in her bedroom with her and the occasional you get away with soooo much (which was SOOOO not true) but whatever I will let her believe whatever she wants. :) :) Needless to say we have been able to continue an amazing bond. Though there are those natural changes in life, such as, going away to school, relationships (and trust me she always had plenty to say about my "relationships"), marriage, children, one of us moving away and the other not at all happy about that(not naming names cough.Melissa.cough!) we both still know that whenever we need each other we will be there, no matter what the distance may be!! It's really an amazing bond we share...she always knows how to put things in perspective for me. I really value everything she has to say and appreciate her so much.

Melissa.....
Some days I feel so grown-up. Not in a good way, but a tired, worn-out way. Then you and I get together, and we start to giggle over some old memory, some familiar joke......and suddenly, I'm a child again. THAT'S WHY I LOVE YOU!!! (although I think people may think we are crazy sometimes, we know we are funny!!)
Happy Birthday Liss!

Haiti

So I was glued to the t.v. tonight watching the Help for Haiti Now Benefit and I couldn't help but cry. I can't believe what all they have gone through. I mean I have been watching since the earthquake, but tonight there were some stories I hadn't heard that really were true testimonies of faith, hope, love and strength. It really is unimaginable what they are going through. I will be praying for all of them and for everyone that is reaching out their hands to help. I thought I would post a favorite quote of mine from a fantastic book I read. In the book this is what Jesus says to a character named Mack. I really feel this is true.

"if anything matters then everything matters. Because you are important. Everytime you forgive, the universe changes; every time you reach out and touch a heart or a life, the world changes; with every kindness and service, seen or unseen, my purposes are accomplished and nothing will be the same again." Here We Go!!

Ok, so here we go!! I just got off the phone with Liss and she seems just as excited as I am to begin this fun little obsession! We are both assuming that I will be doing more of the blogging since, well lets just put it out there, I am a stay at home Mom/Wife with 2 kids and she is a working, going to school for her Master's Mom/wife of 3, well should we say 4 (we all know how husbands are pretty much like kids anyway right!) Kidding Kyle and Mike :) haha....
Not that I'm not busy, because I certainly am and have things that will keep me super busy in the future, but for now I am the one that probably has a little more time to blog! Which is fine with me!

Well to start of a first of hopefully many funny stories we will share. I will tell you all about how My husband Mike and I took a date night a couple weeks ago. We went to a wonderful restaurant and the movie Avatar(awesome by the way!) Anyway we are so blessed to have this wonderful family that comes to babysit for us. Anyway I called on our way home b/c the Mom had sent me a text asking me a question and I just figured it would be easier to call instead of texting her back. So during this conversation she says to me, "remind me when you get home I have to tell you something." I was like ok, didn't think much of it, but of course the wheels were turning as to what it could be. So we get home and are visiting with them and the Mom asks if she can steal me for a minute and of course I say yes, so we go into my bedroom and are chatting and she proceeds to tell me that while her and one of her daughters who is around 12 are sitting watching a show with Colin (our son) he says to the Mom, "Hey do you want to see my peepee...it's getting bigger?"...she says "Oh no Colin I don't"...he says "really you should it's getting bigger and bigger."..she again says "no colin, I don't" SO.....yep you are right...he whips it out and says....."LOOK, it's really big and getting bigger".....so she told me she didn't react thinking that would not fuel the "attention" fire and he finally pulled his pants up Thankfully, she believes her daughter was not paying attention b/c she had no reaction whatsoever. She said he didn't do it again, but wanted to tell me incase he said to me Mom I showed her my privates. I was in shock, thankfully we could both laugh at this, but seriously....COME ON.... She says, ya know I have two girls so I'm not used to that kinda stuff, but figured it was just normal boy stuff. I said to her "Well I sure hope it's normal boy stuff"!!! :) I couldn't even believe it. HOW EMBARASSING!! This boy is obsessed with this right now and has been for quite some time. We have had talk after talk about "it" and really thought that the interest in "it" getting bigger would go away at some point or at least he would just get used to it and not feel the need to make a production about it....obviously not...
